Hi all, I'm working with colleagues who manage our instance of DSpace, but am pretty new to this area. I've looked through the messages in this Google group to see if my questions have been answered already, but didn't find exactly what I needed. If I did miss something that's already been clarified, please let me know!
*Here's our issue:* We want to expose more rich/robust citation metadata to Google Scholar, at the request of a faculty member. However, we don’t capture this metadata granularly enough in our submission form: we just use dc.identifier.citation field that captures entire citation as one text string. *My questions: * 1. What other/custom metadata schemas and fields have you added to your instance of DSpace, beyond Dublin Core? 2. Has anyone updated and filled in the google-metadata.properties file to include additional mappings? I'd love to see examples, specifically mappings for the following fields: google.citation_journal_title = google.citation_volume = google.citation_issue = google.citation_firstpage = google.citation_lastpage = google.citation_doi = 3. Has anyone decided to use Highwire Press metadata elements natively in Dspace, specifically for journal articles? This instead of creating custom DC qualifiers. Many thanks!
