at the moment there are only these DSpace built in options to move
things around:
(in all these cases no identifiers will change, you may need to reindex
your repository)
1. Items
A. Single Item
Move it via the UI
B. Many Items (too tedious to move one by one), this is shown in the
video below
Batch metadata Editing

In both cases the items will belong to a new parent collection differing
from the original collection.
2. Community to Community relations
There is a command line tool for this the community filiator

There is no other built in way to move a collection to another community.
You can do it on database level (usual warning about backup and be sure
what you are doing) by manipulation the community2collection table.
