early this week, we were still very positiv that the DSpace Anwendertreffen can take place as planned in spite of the Corona virus. Now we have to face the fact, that many people won’t be able to travel to Hamburg anymore. More and more constraints are put into place every day, limiting possibilities of events and business travels. Thus, with heavy heart, we have to cancel the DSpace Anwendertreffen in Hamburg in March 2020. We currently discuss with the presenters if talks can be given as a web conference on March 26th, 2020. Unfortunately, we don’t think that Round Tables, Workshops, and the Minute Madness do work well as part of a web conference. We also try to find a new date for an event in person in August, September or October. We will inform about both as soon as we can. We hope that you are able to cancel any bookings you may have made already. Inzwischen müssen wir aber davon ausgehen, dass viele Vortragende und Teilnehmende nicht mehr nach Hamburg reisen können. Die Einschränkungen für Veranstaltungen und Dienstreisen nehmen täglich zu. Deshalb sagen wir mit großem Bedauern das Anwendertreffen in Hamburg im März 2020 ab. Wir werden mit den Referent*innen besprechen, ob zumindest die Vorträge am 26.3. innerhalb einer Webkonferenz gehalten werden können. Gleichzeitig versuchen wir, einen neuen Termin im August, September oder Oktober in Hamburg zu finden, um uns doch noch vor Ort zu allen Themen rund um DSpace austauschen zu können. Über beides werden wir informieren, sobald wir können und hoffen, dass Sie dann wieder dabei sein können. Wir hoffen auch sehr, dass Sie Ihre Buchungen noch problemlos stornieren können.
