I'm building a new install of DSpace 6.3.x on a RHEL 8 VM. I'm aware that mod_shib is authentication module recommended by the DSpace 6.x documentation and broader community. mod_shib, is not supported by RedHat; at https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2318321 they recommend mod_auth_mellon; which they say on https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2743391 is being discontinued in favour of mod_auth_openidc.
mod_auth_openidc seems like a much more broadly-scoped authentication module than mod_shib, it allows authentication via openathens, gitlab, google, microsoft AD, apple etc. We're looking at openathens at this stage, there's documentation for mod_auth_openidc / openathens at https://docs.openathens.net/display/public/OAAccess/Apache+OpenID+Connect+example Has anyone configured DSpace with work with mod_auth_openidc and be willing to share what they've learnt? cheers stuart -- All messages to this mailing list should adhere to the DuraSpace Code of Conduct: https://duraspace.org/about/policies/code-of-conduct/ --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DSpace Community" group.
