Say, this is a fairly steep learning curve for a non-IT layman! My Dspace 6 install is finally running pretty well and it is time to struggle with template customization and site personalization. This may take me months to learn and manage properly. In the mean time, DSpace 7 is going to be out this year and I certainly will want to upgrade my site.
My question is: Is all the customization effort going to become obsolete as soon as version 7 becomes production ready? I don't wish to wait until October or November, before going public, but I also don't wish to spend many hours developing skills which will become obsolete in the near future.
