*From: CRKN-RCDR listserv <[email protected]> On Behalf Of John

*Subject: ORCID-CA: January 2021 Community Call // Appel communautaire
ORCID-CA, janvier 2021*

*Dear ORCID-CA Community,*

*ORCID-CA, Queen's University Library, and 4Science would like to invite
you to an information session about ORCID and DSpace on Thursday January
28th, 2021, from 12:00-13:00 ET (9:00-10:00 PT).*

*Please register here:
https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/399280363235896848*

*This session will explore using ORCID iDs in your DSpace Repository or
CRIS. 4Science has developed an ORCID patch for DSpace 5 & 6 that can help
your institution support OpenAIRE guidelines, funded by Queen’s and
research libraries at Université de Montréal, Université Laval, University
of British Columbia, University of Saskatchewan, Vancouver Island
University, and York University.*

*Please join me in welcoming Courtney Matthews (Head, Open Scholarship
Services, Queen’s University) and Andrea Bollini (Chief Technology and
Innovation Officer, 4Science). First, Courtney will explore the broader
policy implications of this patch, its connection to OpenAIRE, and some
experience with implementation at Queen’s. Then, Andrea will describe how
to use this patch for a DSpace repository and will provide additional
information about ORCID and DSpace-CRIS.*

*This session will answer questions such as:*
*How do repositories benefit by connecting with ORCID iDs?*
*What do you need to know to set up the DSpace-ORCID Patch?*
*How does the DSpace-ORCID patch support OpenAIRE guidelines?*
*How can I take full advantage of the ORCID integration with DSpace-CRIS?*

*This session is aimed at DSpace repository managers in Canada,
institutions with DSpace, members of ORCID-CA, and other interested
stakeholders. Please note that this call will take the place of the January
ORCID-CA Community Call.*

*Warm regards,*
*John*
