Hi everyone,

We have just started our project to implement Dspace 7. We would like to
use configurable entities. This new feature is well documented for author
or journals but we try to find other relevant uses. One that interests us
in particular is Document Types.

Since the inception of our IR we have used the COAR Resource Type
vocabulary in the form of a standard DSpace *Hierarchical Taxonomies and
Controlled Vocabularies*
(https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Authority+Control+of+Metadata+Values)
that allowed us to control the values of this field.

We believe that configurable entities would be a better way to control and
standardize document type using the COAR Resource Type vocabulary. However,
we are struggling a bit to determine how to proceed! Has anyone experienced
working with configurable entities? Any feedback you can share with us will
be more than welcome! :)

Thank you very much.

Cheers,

Pierre
