That is very odd behavior & I hadn't noticed that myself, but I see it as I try 
out demo7.dspace.org as well.

I've created a bug ticket for it: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/8512

In the future, you are welcome to report odd behavior / likely bugs to our 
ticketing system: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues

I'll get a developer assigned to this to analyze more closely and determine if 
there's a misconfiguration, search index issue or some sort of bug in the 
system.  Right now, it's unclear to me why this is not working properly.

Hi Tim,

Thank you for replying to my message. This behavior is happening not only in 
our instance of DSpace, but in DSpace Demo as well. I log in to DSpace Demo 
with "[email protected]" and click on All of DSpace -> By Issue 
Date. I get 16 items. I log out,  click on All of DSpace -> By Issue Date, I 
get 10,991 items.

You might try reindexing all content in your DSpace (this may take a while 
though if it's very large): "./dspace index-discovery -b"

You also might check our Troubleshooting guide for tips on finding errors (as 
sometimes a hidden error can occur in the logs or even in the UI in your 
browser).  That guide helps walk you through finding them:

Essentially, I've never heard of this behavior before, so I suspect either a 
different error is occurring behind the scenes, or if you forgot to fully 
reindex after an upgrade.

Hello Everyone,

I have a question about "Browsing by Issue Date" functionality in DSpace 7.3. 
When I am logged in as a Community Administrator, and navigate to Browsing by 
Issue Date page (All of DSpace -> By Issue Date), I am getting only items from 
the communities where I am Administrator: 13 items. When I log out and become 
anonymous user, and navigate to Browsing by Issue Date page, I am getting 
10,987 items. The same behavior exists for Collection Administrator, in all 
“Browsing by…” pages they only see items from their collections. I was 
wondering if this is considered a bug.
