Dear DSpace Community,
It is with regret that we share that Natalie Baur will be leaving her position as (part time) DSpace Coordinator to take a position at University of Iowa as the inaugural Digital Initiatives Lead. Her last day will be July 31. She will be missed by her team members and the larger community. This new role was funded thanks to the SCOSS <https://scoss.org/how-it-works/current-funding-calls/> funding pledges. As the inaugural Coordinator, Natalie took on this new role and was able to contribute in myriad ways. Natalie documented elections policies, coordinated governance meetings, and supported DSpace events including the DSpace 7.5 workshops and 7.6 Q&A, where she also supported language inclusion for the Spanish-speaking community. She also led the launch of the quarterly DSpace Community Newsletter. Lyrasis, the Organizational Home for DSpace, will be working to fill this position. Look for more information in the future. We wish Natalie well in her future endeavors and hope for opportunities for our paths to cross in the future as she continues out in the wider DSpace community. Best wishes, *Laurie Gemmill Arp* Director, DuraSpace Community Supported Programs [email protected] 800.999.8558 x 2908 -- Laurie Gemmill Arp -- All messages to this mailing list should adhere to the Code of Conduct: https://www.lyrasis.org/about/Pages/Code-of-Conduct.aspx --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DSpace Community" group.
