Hi Amy, Some of the "fundamentals" are in the "Learning DSpace" area of the documentation: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Learning+DSpace However, that area is a work in progress, and DCAT (DSpace Community Advisory Team) is working on enhancing it little by little. It's a volunteer driven effort though, so I know they are always looking for help from others as the learn their own tips/tricks.
DCAT meetings themselves also can be a good place to ask for advice from other repository managers... they meet about once a month: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/cmtygp/DCAT+Meeting+Notes These mailing lists are also a great resource to ask questions & learn.
