Except browse By Issue Date, all other browse filters filter by the first few letters. When you are browsing by Title for example, it is hard for the user to guess the first word. This is the same for by Subject and even by Author. Sometimes you may not remember the surname of the author, but you can remember the name.
Can't it be configured to filter by "contains" instead of "starts with" on browse pages? Interesting enough, browse "By Subject Category" works just as I wanted. You type a keyword to the filter and it finds the records which contains that specific keyword even the letters! Can't the same method be applied to the other tabs? I know that I can use the global search and limit the community/collection by clicking the "All of Dspace" button. But that is hard to guess and most users browse by community/collection tree. -- All messages to this mailing list should adhere to the Code of Conduct: https://www.lyrasis.org/about/Pages/Code-of-Conduct.aspx --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DSpace Community" group.
