Hi Nason,

What you are seeing is 'expected behavior' because the subject categories
on the Demo site are from SRSC (Swedish Research Subject Categories). So,
when you hover over the terms, you are seeing it's description in Swedish.
 These descriptions *are configurable* though as they are stored in the
"srsc.xml" file in the DSpace backend codebase
at
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/main/dspace/config/controlled-vocabularies/srsc.xml

So, if you'd rather change the language of the hover overs, you can modify
the "<hasNote>" entries in that file.

Or, you can use an entirely different Controlled Vocabulary of Subject
terms by creating a similar XML file as described in the documentation
<https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Authority+Control+of+Metadata+Values#AuthorityControlofMetadataValues-HierarchicalTaxonomiesandControlledVocabularies>
.

You can also remove the controlled vocabulary entirely from the search
interface by modifying the User Interface "vocabularies" configuration as
described at:
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/User+Interface+Configuration#UserInterfaceConfiguration-ControlledVocabulariesinSearchFilters
