Hello Julio, You might have already seen this, but https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC5x/REST+API contains the official documentation for the REST API integration for DSpace 5.x.
If I am not mistaken, statistics were only viewable through the UI and not the REST API. Hope this helps and points you in the right direction.
