Hello DSpace Developers,

As of today, a *third* proposal has been added to the (previously shared)
DSpace Entities Overview / Discussion document:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1exm_xLToxUMszOvX5itSMFTn5eiGCdggL0Mf522GjHU/edit#heading=h.bhq44wdzzis0

This third proposal has been made (to the DSpace Steering Group) by Atmire,
and is linked to from that Google Doc. It proposes a way to refactor the
DSpace Item object to support new Entities (by typing an Item, and adding
relationships between Items), and to align DSpace with the Portland Common
Data Model (PCDM).

The DSpace Steering Group will be discussing our (now three) options in
more detail on Weds (March 21). The decision timeline is still unclear.
But, I want to ensure we continue to hear from *you* in this decision
process.

As this third proposal has just come in, and others have not had a chance
to discuss it, I've quickly written up some pros/cons (that I see).
However, I'd ask that you keep me honest here, and help me enhance them by
adding in your own commentary.

Additionally, this third proposal *will be presented* and discussed in a
future DSpace Entities Working Group meeting. More details on when/where
will be coming soon.

Thanks all. As always, please feel free to let me know if you have
questions, comments, etc.

Tim
