DSpace developers, (sorry for cross post)

Come play in the sandbox with your fellow open source developers Feb 9-13 2009 at developer happiness days in London. We hope to see as many developers there and plan on having special workshops on building web services for DSpace 2.0, and building common plugins and tools for DSpace and Fedora platforms. See details below.

best, Michele
Executive Director DSpace Foundation

What is "developerHappinessDays" (tag: "dev8D"):

Developer Happiness Days(http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dfccf5n6_134hjmgk6ht ) is JISC's way of saying "thank you" to developers for all the hard work they do. Of course the question is: how do you show your gratitude to a developer who spends all their free time on a computer? Well other than beer, bowling and video games (which dev8D will have plenty of) we provide them with the gift of more development skills! It's pretty simple: a.) give them the opportunity to show off the work they do to someone who can appreciate it (other developers), b.) provide them with the opportunity to learn new frameworks, languages and techniques; and c.) throw in the ultimate VIP rock-n- roll developer barcamp... RESULT: happy developers building applications faster than ever! Developers work better when happy and when the cost is zero to attend there really is no reason why you shouldn't be sending your entire team to JISC's "Developer Happiness Days"! Space is limited so book now!
