Hi All,
First time poster to the DSpace lists. I'm fairly new to DSpace, I have
the job of continuing development and support
on our existing installation.
I'm in the process of updating to the latest 1.5 version and was
wondering about a patch
that has been made against our 1.3 and had been ported to 1.4. It is the
download counter patch, that has the monthly
statistics table. It also has an ignore portion to ignore certain IP
address ranges.
It looks similar to the one found here:
http://www.lib.umd.edu/drum/handle/1903/7334 except with the total
downloads
this month added.
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a patch for 1.5 that
has this kind of functionality.
The second thing is what development Environment is recommended? I was
using Eclipse for 1.4 with the integrated tomcat
where when you save it compiles, but with 1.5 I am unable to get
anything like this working correctly. I was wondering if there
is a preferred development environment as using vi and a number of shell
scripts is slow and tedious for larger jobs.
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to contributing any way I can.
Owen.
