Andrea Bollini updated DS-206: ------------------------------ Attachment: DS-206-visibility-restriction.patch Hi all, the uploaded patch will fix all the issues described and add a little improvement to the visibility restriction. Now you can choose more in detail how the field need to be treated out of the scope specified (where it has fully visibility and edit capability). You can choose to fully hide the field (default behaviour, backward compatible) or only show it without allow edit. To enable this new feature you need to specify the attribute "otherwise" of the "visibility" element as "readonly", i.e <field> ... <visibility otherwise="readonly">workflow</visibility> </field> > Input form visibility restriction doesn't work properly > ------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: DS-206 > URL: http://jira.dspace.org/jira/browse/DS-206 > Project: DSpace 1.x > Issue Type: Bug > Components: DSpace API, JSPUI > Affects Versions: 1.5.0, 1.5.1, 1.5.2 > Reporter: Andrea Bollini > Assignee: Andrea Bollini > Priority: Minor > Attachments: DS-206-visibility-restriction.patch > > > If you mark some fields as availables only in a specific scope (workflow or > submit) then you will lose the input if you re-open the item in edit in a > different scope... > for example, if fieldA is available only in submission and you have a > workflow step2 on the submission collection, you will erase the fieldA value > during the metadata revision. > The same things happen if you have a field available only in workflow and > after have entered some values you reject the submission so that it trought > again the submission. > Finally, the JSPUI shows the hidden metadata in the review step. > A patch will be posted soon -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.dspace.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The NEW KODAK i700 Series Scanners deliver under ANY circumstances!
