This issue was discussed during the DSpace Developer meeting on Dec 9, 2009.
The consensus was that we need more information in order to diagnose the
problem, as we have been unable to reproduce it. There should be no
differences between search results in 1.5.x versions and in the new 1.6.0RC1
version as the search code has not changed significantly. I will be closing
this issue for now, but we can reopen it once more information is provided.
