Flávio Botelho commented on DS-326:
-----------------------------------
Didn't find it yet.. Probably shouldn't there be a unique index in handle table
for a item_id?
That would also give away when the problem happen because a Exception will be
thrown.
> 1 Item, more than one handle
> ----------------------------
>
> Key: DS-326
> URL: http://jira.dspace.org/jira/browse/DS-326
> Project: DSpace 1.x
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 1.5.2
> Reporter: Flávio Botelho
> Priority: Minor
>
> Some items were appearing multiple times in the same collection, upon further
> investigation, actually the same item has multiple handles, sometimes as many
> as 5.
> Anyone has any clue why that is happening?
> In the item page, it seems that the lookup to see which collections have the
> item mapped it is not constrained by the handle, so multiple links to the
> same collection appear.
> The root cause is the multiple handles for the same item, but probably
> someone will end up complaining about the consequence above.
