Just a side note, I've deviated away from the steriotypical usage of parent pom 
in dspace trunk.

I now maintain the parent pom for all the modules in the /svn/repo/modules 
space under its own revision history and release numbering.

I also no longer maintain any dependencyManagement in that pom. It is strictly 
just for identifying mostly defaults for jvm environment, favored plugins and
