mods.properties changed, but oai output does not reflect the change

I added new dc fields in the metadata registry, like dc.date.execution. In
order to retrieve the field, I wanted to change mods.properties, and did so
with this line:
dc.date.execution = <mods:extension><mods:dateExecution
encoding="iso8601">%s</mods:dateExecution></mods:extension> |
mods:dateExecution/text()
But using:
http://www.collate-efg.h-da.de:8080/oai/request?verb=GetRecord&metadataPrefix=mets&identifier=oai:www.collate-efg.h-da.de:123456789/16392
in order to fetch the mods does not show extension.
Also I get a warning:WARNING: No MODS mapping for date.execution
in catalina.out with no actual context.
