Tim Donohue resolved DS-589. ---------------------------- Documentation Status: Not Required (was: Needed) Resolution: Won't Fix Assignee: Tim Donohue Hi Sally, This sort of question is better to ask on dspace-tech mailing list (https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dspace-tech/). It sounds like you might be installing DSpace from behind a Firewall. In which case, you may need to look into configuring a Web Proxy for Maven (so that Maven is able to download everything it needs from the web). There are instructions on how to do that in our 1.6.1 Documentation at: http://www.dspace.org/1_6_1Documentation/ch03.html#N106D7 If you are not installing from behind a proxy, you could also try to run "mvn -U package" (the -U option forces Maven to update its local cache). Though, from the error message you received, it sounds more like it could be a proxy/firewall issue. If you are still having problems, or have issues setting up a proxy, please ask for additional help on the dspace-tech list. We can help you determine whether this is a bug, or if there's just a configuration issue.
