Summary: Unbalanced brackets cause search error

Initial Comment:
If you perform a search on a title which has an unbalanced bracket pair in it,
such as the following (valid) string:

"Emery-Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy (EDMD"

The page displays an "Invalid Search String" error. Since this string appears
exactly as above as a substring of a real title in our archive, we feel that
this is a bug, and that logical constructions such as paramaterising searches
need to take this into account.

The fix might be as simple as to pre-wrap search strings with quote marks
(which has the desired effect).

I will post to the devel list to see if anyone has any particular thoughts on
this.
