Is the DailyFileAppender configuration in the log4j.properties file working for
1.6.0? I want to use this DailyFileAppender, but when I do, the last thing I
see is the kernel shutdown message in the dspace.log file (restarting tomcat
causes this). But there is no longer any logging activity going on after the
restart.
Background:
We were experiencing the issue with the hijacking by Cocoon of the dspace.log
file after migrating to 1.6 from a dspace 1.5.1'ish version number. So
previously it was the rolling file appender. Now we want the daily file
appender, but it doesn't appear to be working. The log level is set to info, so
I assume we should be seeing something . . .
