Hi I just want to inform you that I wasn't beeing able to attend the meeting as now I am in other country and time zone is really out for me.
Anyways, one of the topics discussed was the REST API, which I am working on as a part of GSoC.. and its possible inclusion in 1.7. I just want to point out that, by my opinion as a person working on it, it can be ready for 1.7 release. Should it be released as a module or integral part or whatever is up to the community, but I just want to stress that it should be brought available to more people for the testing and resolving of outstanding issues. If it doesn't become widely available/advertised, then it may happen that much time pass before DSpace get REST support and by my opinion it is not good for DSpace too as this kind of support becomes very often spreaded in other appliances. I think I already mentioned that I intend to continue to work on this module outside of GSoC in order to bring it / support up to some level of maturity. For this I will also need the help of others in terms of testing (e.g. you have bigger repositories, I have access just to small local one). Idea mentioned to put issues on JIRA is good for me as sometimes it becomes hard to me to track emails/reports/suggestions from several sides at once. So these were just my short comments.
