Remove old, out-of-date Documentation from SVN, once fully cleaned up on Wiki
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: DS-657
                 URL: http://jira.dspace.org/jira/browse/DS-657
             Project: DSpace 1.x
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: Documentation
            Reporter: Tim Donohue
            Assignee: Jeffrey Trimble
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 1.7.0

This issue is more of a placeholder/reminder.

Once we have finished with the cleanup of the new Wiki-based Docs, we should
remove the old, out-of-date Documentation from our SVN at:

http://scm.dspace.org/svn/repo/dspace/trunk/dspace/docs/

We likely should remove most (if not all) docs from this directory, to avoid
confusion. However, we may want to keep a PDF copy (generated from the new
Wiki-based Docs) in that location, just so we are distributing some form of
offline docs with a release. (This is all open to discussion -- just my
initial thoughts.)

Additional background
-------------------------------
The DSpace Documentation now has a new home on our Wiki at:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC/ (this area is still being cleaned
up, but most of the main content is already there). As of DSpace 1.7, this
wiki area will be the official online docs. We can still generate PDF and/or
HTML versions for download from these Wiki docs.
