Robin Taylor commented on DS-553: --------------------------------- I have tested this on a local machine against trunk and it seems to work ok, well sort of. An issue date of 2010-04-22T09:17:01Z would result in a date of 22-Apr-2010 being displayed in the browse index, but I think its a design choice not to show the time component in this instance. I certainly cant reproduce the bug where only a year is displayed. I'll leave this open for a short while to allow Claudia the opportunity to comment. > Display date generation only works on dates without time granularity > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: DS-553 > URL: http://jira.dspace.org/jira/browse/DS-553 > Project: DSpace 1.x > Issue Type: Bug > Components: JSPUI > Affects Versions: 1.6.0 > Reporter: Claudia Jürgen > Assignee: Robin Taylor > Fix For: 1.7.0 > > > The display dates generated for e.g. browse indices are only generated > correctly if the metadata date got no time granularity, otherwise the dates > will be reduced to year only. > So > 2010-04-22T09:17:01Z results in 2010 > 2010-04-22 results in 22-Apr-2010 > This leads to wrong/mixed displays if > a) someone uses dc.date.issued in the display and got pre 1.6 data > b) someone uses another time stamp e.g. dc.date.accessioned with time > granularity -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.dspace.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net Dev2Dev email is sponsored by: Show off your parallel programming skills.
