download it from my dspace i get a pdf file 87Mb and unusable

One item of my dspace is a pdf file ( from a scanner ) => 240 Mb
when i try to download it from my dspace i get a pdf file only 87Mb and
unusable
If i try a download directly from the server no problem rigth size and i can
read it.
some has told me it could be an issue of transcoding from windows to utf8 or
the opposite.
Can u help me about this subject.
