Hello all. Valorie suggested I propose some requirements for this, and here's a
minimalist first pass at defining them. (Emphasis on "minimalist" and "first
pass"...)
Requirements:
Forms-based or combination of form/WYSWIG interface for creating submission
step(s), including the ability to change
* The number of metadata-entry pages
* Which fields appear on each page, and their sequence
* Labels, prompts, hints, and other text associated with each field
* List(s) of available choices for each menu-driven field
Also desirable are similar capabilities for customizing the upload,
verification, and license steps.
Discussion:
The above is a bare-bones proposal, so please suggest additional (or argue for
fewer!) requirements for this proposed change. The more suggestions, and the
more specific they are, the more likely we'll be to come up with a
specification programmers and GSoC folks -- see "Submission Enhancements in
DSpace" at https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/GSOC/GSoC+2011+Projects -- to
consider and act upon.
