Hi,
I have never tried to do this before, but maybe you can use DSpace API as a
java jar library.
See your dspace installation :
[dspace]/dspace-api/target/dspace-api-1.8.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
or
[TomCat webapps]/jspui/WEB-INF/lib/dspace-api-1.8.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
You can try to use these jars in your custom application. The problems would
be of settings the paths of property files which the jar expects I suppose.
Then you may import the required classes and use it as normal Java Class.
I am copying this query to the developer mailing list. Hope we get a better
reply for this question.
Regards,
