Kim Shepherd commented on DS-599:
---------------------------------
Script completed successfully on my small and large test data sets, with a jvm
configured for 512MB max heap.
It did take nearly 5 hours to do the large index I was testing (~9million
docs), and the solr Query times seemed to increase linearly from ~300ms to ~28
seconds (wasn't sure if that's a side-effect of paging really large result
sets?), but it eventually completed, committed all the changes, and exited
cleanly.
I don't think the length of time is a big worry for a run-once task, but
committing the changes every page/10000 might be a good idea, just to make sure
it scales for extremely large indexes.

> The file download statistic for an item displays all the bitstreams
> regardless of the bundle they belong to.
> So licenses, extracted texts got displayed and counted. This is a bit
> confusing for the normal user as their existence is usually hidden from him.
> Furthermore I wonder whether views from the edit item stage should be counted
> as "regular" views at all.
