Hi Manuela, DSpace 1.8.0 actually hasn't been formally released yet. (We are still "in the process" of releasing it right now)
Currently 1.8.0 hasn't propagated out via Maven, which is why http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/dspace/dspace-xmlui-webapp/1.8.0 doesn't yet exist. It should (hopefully) be propagated within the next few hours or so. As soon as 1.8.0 is completely available we will send emails to all lists.
