Hi Christophe, Although I'm not familiar with any specific "metadata versioning" initiatives, there are a few semi-related versioning initiatives I can think of:
* DSpace with Fedora Inside: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSFED/DSpace-Fedora+Integration+FAQ - This initiative is still really in its infancy. But, one of the goals is to enable DSpace object versioning (not just metadata). This is such a large initiative though that it's unlikely to happen very quickly. * Doing some searching, I also came across this wiki page, which claims that "NESCent and @mire" are working on Versioning: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Versioning I also recall from talking to Mark Diggory that @mire had some versioning related projects in the past. I'm not sure if their current status. Perhaps Mark would know (copied in). In general, when starting on any big initiative like this one, I'd highly encourage you to setup a central place for everyone to get updates. It's great that you sent an email to this list. But, you also may want to create a "placeholder" ticket in our JIRA system (where you can update it with comments on status, and you can also store all the relevant links/specs). https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS You are also more than welcome to create a wiki page "homepage" for your project in our DSpace wiki: http://wiki.dspace.org/ If you'd rather just keep your project information on your own wiki, that's fine too. Though just be sure to send us occasional updates -- otherwise, folks may forget about your project over time.
