This feature allows users to ingest and view master / preservation image file
format (TIFF and JPEG2000) and create better thumbnails for images. It is
similar to contentDM's feature to upload JPEG2000/TIFFs and the system
automatically creating derivative JPEG images.
In the future, the feature can be integrated with JPEG2000 application servers
for better image viewing features.
Benefits for users:
* Users can have the option to view access files (JPEG),
* Users also might have options to view JPEG2000 for better quality images
(can be configurable ).
Benefits for collection owners/managers:
* Collection owners no longer need to create their own derivative files,
saving their time to create multiple copies.
* Also since master files are in DSpace, there is no need to maintain a
different copy for digital preservation.
