Hi all, Reminder, next week (February 27th through March 2nd), we will be holding our first ever DSpace Developers Virtual Summit.
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/DevMtg+2012-02-27+-+Virtual+Summit Again, the idea is to have a series of virtual meetings throughout the week (1-2 hours each day) to discuss/brainstorm/plan future DSpace directions/development/features. Logistics: * These meetings will take place *every day* at 20:00 UTC, and last 1-2 hours (or as long as the discussion lasts). * You need not sign up in advance, just show up. You are also welcome to leave the discussion early, as you need to. * Attendees must call in to the conference line via Skype or phone (details on wiki page above). This is where the main discussion will occur. * Attendees may also wish to login to #duraspace IRC, as we will use IRC as a discussion "backchannel" - to share links, take notes, point at additional resources, etc. Additional Details: * Open discussion format (think "unconference"). Those in attendance that day would decide which topics they want to discuss (some possible topics on wiki page above) * Discussion notes will be distributed after each meeting to the 'dspace-devel' listserv so others can follow along, and add additional feedback. * The goal is NOT necessarily to solve every issue or even cover every listed topic, but rather to try and come towards a consensus around overarching DSpace directions/design for the coming year(s).
