Hi Christos,
I cannot replicate that ListRecords error on demo.dspace.org.
I've tried validating demo.dspace.org via BOTH these sites:
1) http://www.openarchives.org/Register/ValidateSite = RESULT: Validation
succeeds with no errors
2) http://validator.oaipmh.com = RESULT: Validation succeeds, the only error
reported is the "Content Type application/xml" error you mentioned
I'm not entirely sure why the validator.oaipmh.com site complains about the
"application/xml" Content Type, since the official validator (at
openarchives.org) says the returned XML format is valid.
I'm also not sure why you are seeing a validation error locally. As this same
validation test succeeds when it is performed on demo.dspace.org site. You may
want to email the dspace-tech mailing list with more information about your
setup so that we can try to help you out and determine if there's an issue
somewhere that we are not seeing. It's also possible that running "./dspace
oai import" (to refresh the OAI indexes) could help.

help figure out what is going on.
