Thomas, the original idea was to only put into build.properties only the 
minimum number of properties necessary for DSpace to start and find the 
configuration files, in order to define the environment like development, 
staging, production. So I doubt this will pass. Anyway, a big overhaul of the 
configuration system is considered for 4.0, so stay tuned, your problem will 
probably just be solved in a different way.
