Tim Donohue commented on DS-305:
--------------------------------
Just to clarify.. we only wondered about DS-298 cause of mention of caching (in
description) and different results for authenticated & non-authenticated.
But, those may not be related.
I agree, the bad brower matching code in the sitemap.xmap is unrelated to
caching issues at all. Though, It is possible the Kubrick sitemap.xmap could
be updated based on updates to the other theme sitemap files.
> Kubrick browser-specific CSS does not work consistently
> -------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: DS-305
> URL: https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-305
> Project: DSpace
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: XMLUI
> Affects Versions: 1.5.0, 1.5.1, 1.5.2
> Reporter: Samuel Ottenhoff
> Priority: Major
>
> The Kubrick XMLUI theme attempts to match the user's browser (sitemap.xmap)
> and deliver an additional, customized CSS file for browsers like IE6, IE7,
> Safari 2, etc.
> Authenticated users receive the correct CSS style sheets. Anonymous users
> receive inconsistent results based on the first access of the page. It looks
> like a layer of caching is preventing the browser decision from being used in
> every page request.
