I would like to broaden the scope of this ticket a bit further. Not only is the
list not scoped, the way how results are presented when you choose a year
that's too early is very confusing:
If you choose a year from the dropdown, or type in a year in the free text box,
it will just show you the first pages of the index, instead of giving you a
message "no results found" for such an early timespan.
