What URL were you accessing exactly? I'd say you were trying to access
http://yourdspace.com/solr/search, but in my case that gives me a 403
error instead. In any case, that would be wrong. The first part of the
Solr wiki page desribes how to connect to Solr and bypass the
localhost restriction, did you follow that?
