A recent merge brought in a managed dependency on commons-validator:commons-validator:1.4.0 without removing commons-validator:commons-validator:1.3.1 . Does anyone know a reason why we might need the old version? I'd like to just strike it and go with the new.
Also, in NetBeans I get complaints that dspace-parent's parent.relativePath points to the wrong POM, because the parent (org.sonatype.oss:oss-parent) is not in the kit anywhere. We need to add <parentPath/> to correct this.
While I'm whining about minor stuff, we also declare no <description>, which means we inherit a confusing one from oss-parent.
