I'm still unable to re-create this issue using my own workstation. However. On test environment i opened problematic item, selected edit item, item metadata and just pressing "update" (and runngin "dspace oai import") fixed this "???" issue at OAI side.

I'm trying to meet the editor tomorrow so i could see how she does it and what browser she uses to submit items etc...
