Reported on dspace-tech: http://dspace.2283337.n4.nabble.com/Persistent-groups-td4669017.html I find with some versions of DSpace including version 3.1 that if I delete a user and then recreate that user the old group memberships persist. For example if Fred belongs to group A, B and C which are administrator allocated groups. If I delete Fred then get Fred to login, authenticating with LDAP , Fred is recreated but already has groups A,B and C. (He also has the default groups for a new user) Is there a way to expunge the old groups?
