Could you please provide some more information about the memory consuming problems?
This feature is needed in one of our projects and perhaps we could afford some work in this issue, but we probably need some guidance.

Among other changes DS-1229 also drops autocomplete in XMLUI, reportedly because it requires a rewrite and was memory consuming. Autocomplete still works in JSPUI.
This functionality should be restored.
