If I'm not wrong, it's due to ZipOutputStream class not storing file name with the correct encoding in Java 1.6. In 1.7 they added a parameter in the constructor to specify the encoding [1]. Adding the parameter in the call to the constructor in ItemExport.java [2] should fix it, I guess. Using the export cmd line tool, I have successfully exported a record but upon opening the resulting zip file I notice that the file name has invalid characters where some non-english characters have been used.
