dspace.cfg lists three configuration options for each controlled vocabulary plugin invoked via DSpaceControlledVocabulary (for use during item submission):
vocabulary.plugin._plugin_.hierarchy.store = <true|false> # default: true
vocabulary.plugin._plugin_.hierarchy.suggest = <true|false> # default: true
vocabulary.plugin._plugin_.delimiter = "<string>" # default: "::"
These settings appear to be ignored by the value lookup during submission both in JSPUI and XMLUI.
However, these settings aren't documented particularly well, so perhaps my expectations just don't match the actual intention of these settings.
