Unfortunately, this is an artifact of how our demo server works.
The demo.dspace.org server runs *ALL* DSpace webapps against a single database and file assetstore. So, this means it runs both the JSPUI and the XMLUI simultaneously using a single dspace.cfg.
As that is the case, for the "dspace.url" setting we had to choose either /xmlui or /jspui (as it cannot be both). We chose to set it to /xmlui -- so this means that while the links are correct in the XMLUI, they will be incorrect in the JSPUI. Even if we set it to /jspui, the links would be correct in the JSPUI but incorrect in the XMLUI.
Unfortunately, there's really no way around this, unless we changed the demo server to run separate DSpace instances for the JSPUI vs. XMLUI (which at this time we have no plans to do).
