It seems to me, that you try to compile dspace-api directly instead of letting
maven decide when to compile which part of DSpace. To compile dspace, you have
to start maven in the [dspace-source] directory and not in any subdirectories.

I don't use eclipse, I use Netbeans. But I think it is not too different.
Netbeans shows me projects in several directories: g.e. [dspace-source],
[dspace-source]/dspace-api, [dspace-source]/dspace-jspui, ... To compile DSpace
within Netbeans, I have to open [dspace-source] as project and start the
compilation of this project. Maven compiles the other projects itself.

Subject: [Dspace-devel] DSpace development environment

Hello people,
I'm following a tutorial for creating an environment with Eclipse IDE to
develop DSpace
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/DSpace+IDE+-+Eclipse%2C+Git%2C+Maven%2C+and+Tomcat

However, I'm getting an error in the last step: mvn eclipse:eclipse

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project dspace-api: Could not resolve
dependencies for project org.dspace:dspace-api:jar:5.0-SNAPSHOT: Failure to
find org.dspace:dspace-services:jar:5.0-SNAPSHOT in
https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/releases/ was cached in the local
repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of
sonatype-releases has elapsed or updates are forced -> [Help 1]

I've searched for "project org.dspace:dspace-api:jar:5.0-SNAPSHOT" in the
repository but It's not there.
How can I solve this?
