Dear Sirs/ Madams
I am a new user of Dspace. I have installed it and I am trying to understand
how it works.
I want to discuss a general issue. If there are several departments in a
university and each department haa their own data base. And we want to access
their data bases with Dspace, my question is whether we will use a centralized
data base for Dspace or can Dspace work with distributed database systems i.e
deploy Dspace at each department.
Another question is that would the departments be allowed to access each
other's data through dspace (if distributed scheme is used) or not.
I have made a hypothetical diagram of the issue and have attached with the
mail.
I shall be waiting for kind response.
