All I meant is that we've successfully deployed a couple of applications 
that use DSpace as a "back end" and have a completely different front 
end that uses complex metadata stored as a special type of DSpace item 
in a collection. That's a model I can imagine being popular in the 
future, instead than trying to make the default UI do more and more 
complex things. But certainly both approaches are useful.
